 Facebook & Twitter LBP Reference Application
This is "what's next" in the world of social networking. This is about using a mobile phone to provide a physical link to the "virtual" social networking world. The commercial opportunities that come from the link between physical and virtual worlds are endless.
Just to prove out a simple, yet powerful, use case we've developed our first reference application. This Facebook and Twitter application is a consumer controlled, "location based promotion" solution that leverages Facebook and Twitter's global social networking engines. A simple phone tap against a smart-poster will automatically update the users Facebook page with their exact location and/or very specific request for information. It will also automatically provide the Facebook or Twitter user with a promotional coupon that the user can immediately redeem while visiting that merchant. The Secure-Z Platform, along with the Secure Gateway (mobile application), is the engine that manages the entire process from start to finish. Unlike GPS based services which provide a "general" location, an NFC based approach is much more powerful in that it provides for significantly enhanced targeting and offers much more control for both the merchant as well as the consumer... both of whom are equally important in the adoption of this new world technology. |
